Airline reveals new routes out of the North East
Budget airline Jet2 has announced plans to launch four new routes from Newcastle Airport next year. From 31st May routes to Bodrum, Rome, Reus and Venice will be available as part of expansion plans which will see a sixth new aircraft being based at the airport.
The company aims to attract an extra 80,000 passengers through Newcastle airport taking its annual capacity to 600,000 seats. There will also be extra flights available to Faro, Menorca, Malaga, Cork, Prague & Krakow.
The airline’s managing director Ian Doubtfire said: 'We have been closely monitoring the success of this airport over the past year and we believe there’s real potential for this region. In these tough economic times we are delighted to be creating more job opportunities for local people'
